Google Analytics 4 migration
Why use Google Analytics 4?
Universal-Analytics to disappear on July 1, 2023
On July 1, 2023, Universal Analytics (UA) properties will stop collecting data. Google Analytics UA will therefore be unusable. You will no longer be able to view your Universal Analytics reports in the Analytics interface, nor access your data via the API. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the new version of Universal Analytics.
GA4 will transform your tracking system
GA4 is a new event-based data collection system, whereas Universal Analytics was centered on users and sessions. Avoid finding yourself without a data collection and analysis system for your e-commerce site overnight, and start your migration to GA4.
Guarantee your GA4 data history
Although Universal Analytics is not scheduled to be discontinued until summer 2023, it is imperative that you start collecting data on GA4. Note that your UA data is not transferable to GA4. Hence the need to act now. You can use the 2 tools in parallel, giving you time to get to grips with the new features and interface.
