The Prestashop "Customer Contacts" module published by SOLEDIS lets you manage multiple accesses for your customers via contacts. Contacts can be multi-customer, and customers can be multi-contact, depending on the organization and different access rights.

1. Presentation of the Customer Contact module

Prestashop module Customer Contacts edited by SOLEDIS allows a customer's contact to log in with his or her own login credentials.

A contact will be associated with a profile within the customer.
This profile will give or restrict access to certain functions, depending on how it is configured in the administration interface.

 

 2. How the Customer Contacts module works

 

2.1 BACK OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

The module installs a new menu option "Customer Contacts in "SALES > Customers ".

Click on the menu to access 3 tabs:

    • Customer Contacts List of registered Customer Contacts
    • Profiles list of profiles available for contacts
    • Permissions (or access types): rights management for each available profile

MULTI-CUSTOMER CONTACTS
You can configure contact information and associate customers.

PROFILE AND RIGHTS MANAGEMENT
From the list of available profiles, you can add new ones, modify their hierarchical position and assign rights to them: consultation, purchase, quote management...

 

Options available from the module interface :

  • Profile hierarchy management.
  • Modification of customer display in site header.
  • Whether or not to display certain parts of the customer information form.

 

 

2.2 FRONT OFFICE

Access to "Front Office" functions depends on the rights granted to the connected contact and his/her profile.

THE CONNECTION
The Customer Contact connection is made via PrestaShop's native interface.
When a Contact is affiliated with several customers, a choice is offered on the PrestaShop native interface, as shown below.

The registration of a "Customer" on the front-end automatically triggers the creation of a "Customer Contact", which can be connected to the front-end and contains the same data.

AT CUSTOMER ACCOUNT LEVEL
2 tabs can be added and the organization of links is modified.

1. The link for accessing customer information is renamed: " Customer information "
2. A first link " Personal information The "Customer Contact" option is added, and placed at the top of the list, giving access to your Customer Contact information, options and password.
3. Depending on the rights of the connected customer contact, a second " Customer contacts The "Contact" function is added, enabling the customer's contact list to be accessed, modified, deleted or added.
